Optional documentation

Notes about the information provided for this credit:

Since the waste and recycling report came from FY 2023, we updated the student and employee FTE from what was reported in the Institutional Characteristics section of our STARS report to be consistent with the reporting time period. There was no change in the gross floor area of building space from FY 2023 to FY 2024, so that figure remained unchanged.

For employee FTE, source is the 2022-23 Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) Human Resources survey. Employees are reported based on primary position. Employees on unpaid leave are excluded. Includes all employees with the exception of graduate assistants. If applicable, full-time equivalency (FTE) of part-time employees is calculated using the IPEDS formula (part-time employee total * 0.3333).

Student FTE source is the 2022-23 IPEDS Enrollment survey. Student FTE is calculated by dividing total undergraduate credit hours by 15 and total graduate credit hours by 12.
