The ISU Office of Sustainability has worked with local organizations and students to advocate for an ordinance requiring that recycling options be made available at rental properties in the Town of Normal (which is where our university is located). We have also participated in lobbying efforts to improve transportation options for our community as part of a "One Voice" initiative where local governments and ISU work together to present a unified message to government officials in Washington, D.C.
