None
Does the institution have policies and/or guidelines in place to improve outdoor air quality and minimize air pollutant emissions from mobile sources?:
Yes

None
A brief description of the policies and/or guidelines to improve outdoor air quality and minimize air pollutant emissions from mobile sources:
ISU has adopted some innovative methods for mobile source reductions. The biggest impact the institution has had is the partnership with private residential facilities to house students within easy walking distance to campus. The free public transportation system and improved Bike/Ped paths in the community also facilitate the reduction in vehicle emissions.

None
Has the institution completed an inventory of significant air emissions from stationary sources on campus?:
Yes

None
A brief description of the methodology(ies) the institution used to complete its air emissions inventory:
Environmental Health and Safety has emissions protocols in place to comply with IEPA requirements. The methodology is derived from the reporting requirements. The largest contributor to outdoor air quality is through the operation of the Heating Plant which has undergone a major mechanical upgrade which resulted in source emissions.

None
Weight of the following categories of air emissions from stationary sources::
Weight of Emissions
Nitrogen oxides (NOx) 52.62 Metric tons
Sulfur oxides (SOx) 0.13 Metric tons
Carbon monoxide (CO) 17.49 Metric tons
Particulate matter (PM) 1.58 Metric tons
Ozone (O3) 13.34 Metric tons
Lead (Pb) 0 Metric tons
Hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) 0 Metric tons
Ozone-depleting compounds (ODCs) 0 Metric tons
Other standard categories of air emissions identified in permits and/or regulations ---

None
A brief description of the institution’s initiatives to minimize air pollutant emissions from stationary sources, including efforts made during the previous three years:
Through the implementation of ISU's Energy Master Plan, upgrades to the university's boiler plant have been achieved in phases. The plan is currently complete as all work identified in it has concluded. Additional work and projects for the mitigation of air pollution are identified as individual projects. http://facilities.illinoisstate.edu/projects/
