A brief description of the sustainability trainings and professional development opportunities available to staff :
The office of sustainability serves as a resource center for all faculty, and staff on issues of sustainability. One of our most developed training sessions is one that we provide for the residential staff at the beginning of every year. This training session include a presentation on sustainability and how residential staff members can play a vital role in making our campus as sustainable as possible. One of the main groups of residential staff that we present to are the resident assistants (RA's) who are in charge of residence halls floors. After we conclude our presentation to the RA's, we offer any assistance in programming, or educational outreach that the RA's may need.
