A brief description of the diversity coordinator's position:
The Director of Office of Equal Opportunity, Ethics & Access reports directly to the President, serves as an advisor to the President, and represents the President's position and directives to various constituents. The Director also provides leadership related to diversity, equal opportunity and affirmative action. Responsibilities include:directing and monitoring university-wide programs, policies, and procedures designed to ensure non-discrimination across campus and take affirmative action, where warranted;developing and implementing a comprehensive University-wide compliance program designed to prevent, detect, and respond appropriately to violations of law; investigating complaints of discrimination;developing training and communication plans;providing technical expertise to management, staff and faculty regarding compliance issues.
