Does the institution have a program to reduce residence hall move-in waste?:
A brief description of the program:
Each year during move in there is a collaborative effort between university departments and student organizations to increase the amount of waste recycled, and to reduce the amount of waste put in the landfills. These efforts vary from advertising these services on social media platforms, placing advertising on site (posters and fliers), to organizing volunteers who collect the waste in designated areas to then be recycled.
The following is a list of organizations and departments who collaborate on these efforts:
1) University Housing Services
2) Office of Sustainability
3) Association of Residence Halls
4) Grounds and Fleet
