A brief description of the metering system:
Yes, there are several buildings where all utilities are metered. We typically use orifice plate meters for steam but we also measure condensate using turbine type water meters. Electric meters are often part of the electrical gear serving the building. Water meter and gas meters are typically provided by the utility. In addition to this many buildings have chilled water meters so we can measure how much chiller capacity is flowing to individual buildings from our central water plant.
