Yes

A copy of the institution's definition of sustainability research:

Sustainability is an approach to communities and the environments in which they live that recognizes the interconnectedness of environmental, economic, and social systems. Sustainability seeks balance between the needs of society and the needs of the planet and its life support systems. Global change provides the background upon which our search for sustainability rests. Natural and environmental systems are dynamic and exist as open systems undergoing constant change. This change is enhanced by the interactions of human systems with the environmental systems. In order to craft sustainable solutions, the first step is to understand these global systemic changes in all of their complexity.
