Our laboratory safety training emphasizes the reduction of hazardous waste. It encourages substitution and elimination of hazardous materials as much as possible.

We contract hazardous material disposal to a company called Heritage Environmental. They specialize in the safe and sustainable handling and disposal of waste.

Electronic waste generated by the institution, as well as waste gathered from students and the surrounding community at our annual E-Waste event, are recycled by Green Wave Computer Recycling, Chicago Surplus Computers, Regency Technologies, and RCtoner.
