Engineers for a Sustainable World (ESW) is an organization dedicated to tackling local and global sustainability challenges through education, technical projects, and collaborative action. ESW-IIT is specifically devoted to bringing sustainability projects to the IIT and Chicago area community. Their projects span from solar to urban agriculture.
Engineers Without Borders (EWB) has a mission is support community-driven development programs worldwide by collaborating with local partners to design and implement sustainable engineering projects while creating transformative experiences and responsible leaders. The group seeks to fulfill the goals of their mission statement through sustainable engineering while emphasizing leadership skills and providing the opportunity for students to implement their technical skills in 'real life' scenarios.

Each month the Office of Campus Energy and Sustainability hosts a sustainability forum, in which a speaker is invited to come to campus and discuss a sustainability topic. These forums are intended for students to come learn more about these topics and include a free meal to encourage attendance.
