A brief description of the institution’s sustainability partnerships with the local community:
IIT is involved in various activities promoting sustainability and community involvement. Neighborhood clean ups from our IIT Days of Service and participation in the Big Event each year shows the universities commitment to community outreach. IIT is also involved in various projects and organizations for sustainability including Project SENSER with Harold Washington College, Human Elephant, Green House, panel discussions with The Renaissance Collaborative, Herek Clack Presentation to Bud Billiken Green Team, various Cook County Grant and Environmental Programs, and more.
