A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
Solar Power Charging for Campus EV Vehicles
IIT, in collaboration with Allcell Technologies, has developed and implemented a solar power charging station for the university's electric vehicle fleet. The system utilizes holographic film enhanced photovoltaic panels for increased energy production, Phase Change Material (PCM) for passive cooling of the Li-Ion batteries, high efficiency micro-inverters, and 24/7 power generation monitoring. These elements combine the latest technology in solar collection, battery storage, grid conversion, and cloud based communication in the development of an innovative charging solution.
