A brief description of the program(s):

WISER (Wanger Institute for Sustainable Energy Research) offers support of faculty affiliates from across the university to attend professional conferences in areas related to energy and sustainability.

WISER sponsors a seminar series to bring a number of guest lecturers to campus from across all disciplines to broaden knowledge base of faculty and students at IIT.

WISER funds the Interdisciplinary Seed Funding Grants program to provide Funding for faculty research, the results of which can ultimately be incorporated in coursework related to energy and sustainability.


A brief description of the incentives that faculty members who participate in the program(s) receive:

WISER provides incentives in terms of funding IIT faculty attendance at professional conferences and symposia, as well as funding for visiting faculty to come to IIT campus. WISER Interdisciplinary Seed Funding Grants program provides research support (graduate student stipends), the results of which can ultimately be incorporated in coursework.
