A brief description of the student group:
In the 2009-2010 school year, the Student Government Association formalized the request by the student group ganGreen to form as the student sustainability group on campus. The organization provides a forum for students to share experiences, raise awareness, and communicate ideas to the administration. The leaders of ganGreen meet weekly with representatives from Business and Operations to informally exchange ideas and set goals. ganGreen holds events celebrating major milestones (Earth Hour, Earth Day, Campus Sustainability Day) and recommends annual projects for the university to pilot across all areas of the Campus Sustainability Plan.
