Director, Office of Campus Energy and Sustainability
Does the institution include sustainability prominently in new student orientation?:
A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation:
All new students (first year and transfer) participate in an orientation event that provides them information on their life as part of the university. Each student receives a flash drive with the IIT Campus Sustainability Plan, information on sustainability research on campus, and a guide to sustainability in coursework. In addition, each student receives a refillable water bottle for use during the time on campus and beyond. Students receive information on the student sustainability group ganGreen, as well as on-campus job opportunities through the Student Sustainability Enterprise and Office of Campus Energy and Sustainability.
