The Diversity Department consists of the Executive Director, Dr. Rita Ali, her administrative assistant, Joan Owens, the Office of International Education (1 Director and 2 professional staff); the Office of Student Support Services (1 Director, 1 administrative assistant, and 3 professional staff), the Office of Upward Bound (1 Director, 1 administrative assistant, 1 full-time professional staff, 6 part-time staff, 10-15 temporary summer staff); the Office of Growing Together (1 Director, 2 professional staff); 1 Admissions Representative; 1 Diversity Retention Coordinator; 1 College Yes Program Coordinator; and 1 Program Assistant.

The Executive Director of Diversity, works collaboratively with college stakeholders to develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan that addresses issues such as staff and faculty diversity, diverse learning styles, gender, minority student recruitment and success, international education and globalization of the campus, people with disabilities, first generation college students, sexual orientation, and diversity awareness.
