A brief narrative to support the full-time faculty employment figure:
IESE has both Degree and Executive Education programs.
Degree programs include MRM, Master in Management (MiM), MBA, Executive MBA and Global Executive MBA.
Degree programs have a duration of 2 years, except for the MiM, which is one year, with longer courses with an average of 12 or 20 sessions each, depending on the ETCs.
The Executive Programs portfolio includes long open programs (both national and international) of around 6 months, short focused programs (between 3 days and 2 weeks), industry meetings (1 day) and custom (or in-company) programs that can last from 1 to 5 days (the average is 3 days).
Courses in executive education is not a standard unit to measure as the length of the varied array of programs varies from one to another.
Degree programs represent 56% (8605 std 75'sessions) of the total amount of sessions taught at IESE. These programs have a total of 590 courses and 86% are taught by full-time faculty. We should add 3% of the courses taught by lecturers who are employed at IESE but also have additional responsibilities at IESE, or whose contract is 80% of the journey. This makes 89% of the courses taught by full-time or employed faculty.
Executive education and other events represents 44% of the total teaching load (std sessions). 75% of the sessions are taught by Full-time faculty (and part time employed faculty).

In terms of courses in Executive education, let’s considered only long open programs (6 months long with courses between 6 and 12 sessions, both Natonal and international excluding Brasil programs that are shared with a business school in Sao Paulo). Of a total of 487 courses 81% is taught by employed faculty mostly full-time)

The ratio of part-time faculty (external collaborators) in executive education is higher both to meet demand (custom programs) and also to continuously incorporate a sense of practical relevance in the teaching activities.
External collaborators are people with acknowledged professional expertise in business management activities or those of a similar nature who, at some point during their career, wishes to devote some time of his professional life to teaching.
Over the years, we have confirmed that is beneficial to have valuable professionals on IESE’s programs to make regular contributions. Such professionals are usually entrepreneurs, managers or executives with many years of experience but could also be highly qualified freelance professionals or civil servants, such as diplomats, judges, service members, etc.
