Sustainability Office had in person meetings and sent email correspondence to research staff and faculty to gather a list of research projects currently being conducted on ISU campuses.

6.2 Incentives for sustainability research
Description of the sustainability research incentives for academic staff:
Faculty Seed Grant Program: The ISU Office for Research Faculty Seed Grant Program is intended to encourage new junior level faculty, as well as existing faculty who are refocusing their research programs, to develop research, scholarly, or creative programs that provide the potential extramural funding and long term professional development. Successful proposals will provide data to support proposals for external funding.
Specifically, CAES (Center for Advanced Energy Studies) Internal Seed Grants: The ISU Office for Research recognizes the need of faculty to fund research-related activities associated with the Center for Advanced Energy Studies (CAES). To that end, ISU has established a seed program to distribute available CAES funds.

Student Fund Sustainabilty Grant: The ISU Sustainability Student Fund Grant was developed to empower students to drive sustainability initiatives on campus. The grant offers students the support to strengthen professional development skills, foster innovation, and enhance future opportunities while contributing to greener ISU campuses. All full-time graduate and undergraduate students are encouraged to apply.
