A brief description of the institution’s efforts to support alternative fuel and power technology in its motorized fleet:

During the 2019 calendar year, a working committee completed an RFP for the Chancellor's Office to award contracts to 3 EV suppliers who will offer significant discounts and increased support to all CSU's beginning the first quarter 2020.

Flexfuel, which is mandated by the state for gas powered vehicles, in not available in Humboldt County and as such we are unable to benefit from this increased biofuel mixture.

That said, gasoline in the state of CA usually has a small percentage of biofuel comprising the total mixture. The percentage of biofuel mixed in is not consistently known but worth noting. This means that while most gas fueled vehicles in Humboldt do not meet "Flexfuel" standards, they do generally contain a small percentage (usually less than 10%) of biofuel mixed in.
