Additional documentation to support the submission:

Design: All new building and renovations on campus are built in accordance with the CSU Sustainable Building Guidelines which establish that all new building or renovation shall meet LEED Gold V.4 Equivalency. this involves ensuring our design team completes the LEED worksheet/checklist that guides our decision making to self report scoring to achieve Gold Level. further, our design often complies or exceeds (due to our LEED checklist requirement) the standards set forth in California Green Building Code and California Building Code which is some of the most stringent in the nation. these guiding elements support design in Electrical, HVAC, Building Materials, Technology, Controls, Building Envelope, Plumbing, site, civil, and other areas of design and engineering
Construction: All new building and renovations on campus are constructed under the contract requirements of the CSU/University General Conditions. this requires 65% of all construction waste is diverted from landfill. this is tracked through our mandated waste and recycling plan specification and general condition.
Equipment and Furniture: all new equipment and furniture are sourced and selected using a criteria of best practice to select furniture that is minimally sourced from 33% sustainable products or has a manufacture specified product life cycle that support new materials reuse upon return at the end of its useful life. various guideline documents for building sustainability can be found here: https://www2.calstate.edu/csu-system/doing-business-with-the-csu/capital-planning-design-construction/Pages/cpdc-resource-library.aspx#InplviewHashe8ab5848-2c0a-4cdd-bd83-4114ebe615a2=WebPartID={a0c5fab0-2106-4b1e-9b41-cf47f6c74ec3}-FilterField1=FormType-FilterValue1=Reference
