A brief description of the institution’s green infrastructure and LID practices:

Humboldt State University installed Low Impact Development (LID) structures in 3 parking lots in 2015. This project was a grant funded collaboration with the City of Arcata. Additionally, LID features will be incorporated for projects that create or replaces over 2500 sq ft of impervious surfaces per permit requirements.

HSU has a non-traditional MS4 permit. As such the University must employ LID features for projects that create or replace greater than or equal to 2500 Square feet of impervious surfaces.
