Data source(s) and notes about the submission:

• Number of academic divisions includes the College of Professional Studies, the College of Arts Humanities & Social Sciences, the College of Natural Resources & Sciences, and a category called “All University” for students who have not declared their major.
• Number of students was taken from this page for the 2015-2016 academic year: http://pine.humboldt.edu/~anstud/humis/demo.html
• FTE for students was taken from this page for the 2015-2016 academic year: http://pine.humboldt.edu/~anstud/humis/demo-AAFFCV.html
• Timeframes: Data used for enrolled students and # of employees came from the most recently completed academic year at the time of submission, which was 2015-2016. Furthermore, in accordance with best practices for student and employee counts at university institutions and IPEDS reporting, HSU has included data from enrollment and payroll sums during October, (Fall 2015).
• Number of Employees was compiled by summing faculty/staff on the payroll for Human Resources, # of employees on the payroll for University Center (auxiliary), and # of grant funded employees on the payroll for Sponsored Programs. Faculty were excluded from grant funded metrics in an effort to minimize double counting them (under the assumption that all faculty would already be captured in Human Resources numbers). As a general rule in accordance with IPEDS reporting, most students employed by the various entities on campus were not counted as employees because they are already included in student counts.
