The Board of Governors, and specifically the Audit and Finance Committee of Humber’s Board of Governor’s is charged with governance of the College’s investments including:
- Establish an Investment Guideline for the College’s investments.
- Appointing an Investment Manager (external firm) and reviewing their performance and compliance with Investment Guidelines.
Humber's Board of Governors has staff, faculty and student representation; however the Audit and Finance Committee (CIR) does not necessarily include representation from each staff, faculty and students.
Humber's Investment Guidelines requires all investments comply to ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance) principles and request our investment managers demonstrate and provide Humber's Board of Governor's with updates on ESG performance at least semi-annually.

Humber's Board of Governor's Audit and Finance committee reviews the investment guidelines including ESG principles, receives updates from the investment manager and modifies any requirements semi-annually. The Investment Guidelines were last modified and approved in March 2022.
