A brief description of the time period on which the figures reported above are based :

Data provided was for Jan – Dec 2021. Invoices were retrieved from main service provider Best Service Pros (chemicals) and the Capital Development Facilities Management (paper).

Purchases during Jan – Dec 2021 reflect the effect of the pandemic on both purchasing volume and proportion of eco products. During the pandemic, paper products were in scare supply and those available for purchase were not the usual eco-certified brands Humber had bought previously. The proportion of non-ecological chemicals like Clorox and other disinfectants increased due to health concerns.

Percentage of expenditures on cleaning and janitorial products that are third party certified to meet recognized sustainability standards:
61.69
