The Office of Sustainability produces a sustainability newsletter which highlights events, sustainable initiatives on campus and volunteer and employment opportunities. Signage

A brief description of the signage that highlights sustainability features on campus:
Posters are displayed throughout the campuses that encourage waste reduction and energy efficiency.

The Office of Sustainability has a sustainability TV which displays advertisements for events, information about sustainable initiatives on campus and brief tips on how-to live a sustainable lifestyle. This ads are occasionally on loop on Humber College’s TV’s around campus.

Humber's North Campus LRC building (LEED Gold) is the main entrance to the campus. Posters and a video describing green building features of the LRC are strategically placed on a large digital screen in the main floor atrium that is dedicated to sustainability at Humber. The posters and video are part of the screen’s database of content and loop continuously. Link to the video that is on several of Humber's website pages is noted below.

Humber Arboretum Center for Urban Ecology (LEED Platinum) building has signage on the green building features throughout.

Humbers North Campus LRC has signage from BeeCity displaying the college’s BeeCampus status. Pollinator gardens at the Humber Arboretum, rooftop of BCTI, and B entrance have informative BeeCity signs about pollinators.

Humber also has signage at non-franchise dining locations on campus that highlights Fairtrade products such as tea, coffee, and chocolate. Similarly, at events that serve Fairtrade food and drinks, Humber also showcases signage.

The sustainability map shows sustainability features such as:

Food learning garden, green roof, LEED certified buildings, solar panels, Fairtrade food outlets, honey bee hives, bike parking and repair locations, bus loop, campus bookstore, carpool parking, Water refill stations, battery collection bins; and important offices and areas such as:

Aboriginal Resource Centre, Athletics, Community Outreach and workforce Development office, Centre of Human Rights and Equity office, Humber Child Development Centre, the Humber Arboretum and Centre for Urban Ecology, LGBTQ+ Resource Centre, Office of Sustainability, Accessibility and Wellness Centre, prayer room, notice boards, Greenhouse, plant wall, Textbooks for Change drop off, Sleep Lounge.

Yes

Sustainable residence tips are included in the Residence Handbook that is shared with all students living in residence.
