A brief description of the institution’s community garden:
Humber Lakeshore campus works with Green Artisan Retailers & Designers Environmental Networking Space (GARDENS) Community Pod Project located at our Lakeshore campus.

The GARDENS is an umbrella group of individuals and groups from Ward 6 committed to the provision and maintenance of community gardens and increasing food security in South Etobicoke. Humber is a proud partner in facilitating the Pod Project - a concept of a community garden where the pods tend to be smaller, mobile, raised beds that don’t need a lot of space and are spread throughout the community.
The GARDENS Advisory Council (GAC) is made up of individuals and groups from Ward 6 in South Etobicoke committed to creating and maintaining community gardens in the area. The Garden mission is food security support for low-income earners, lone-parent families, seniors and people living with disabilities in the area.

The GARDENS Pod Project hosts interactive-education sessions and excursions that are geared towards beginner gardeners, families, children and more.
