In collaboration with Colleges Ontario, Humber is involved in advocating to the Ontario Government on making all Ontario colleges demonstration centres of net-zero emission buildings, technology and research. Resulting in reducing the sector's total carbon footprint province wide and training graduates ready for new careers in the clean economy. (May 2016) This engagement has the explicit support of the Humbers College administrators and governing bodies.
