A brief description of the undergraduate degree program:
Humber’s Bachelor of International Development is an interdisciplinary degree that provides a a solid theoretical foundation in international development studies and its related disciplines, as well as professional and technical skills in development management. The program is designed specifically to bridge the gap between theory and practice by building hands-on project management skills and capabilities. The program fosters a comparative understanding of developed and developing countries through directed study, analytical research and opportunities to travel, gaining cross-cultural learning experiences.
Core courses include four streams: international development studies, supplementary disciplines, management skills and research skills.

A brief description of the undergraduate degree program (2nd program):
Humber’s Interior Design degree curriculum balances practical, creative problem solving with contemporary theories, emerging societal issues, research and technology. Sustainable design is integrated throughout the program and is a key component of students’ studio work.
A self-directed volunteer project with an approved organization helps connect students to the community and the design industry. For example, our students have worked with organizations such as the Furniture Bank, Toronto District School Board, youth and women’s shelters and Habitat for Humanity.
Graduates of Humber’s Interior Design degree program, will play a key role in the creation of interesting, functional and beautiful interiors, integrating diverse cultural needs, accessibility, and environmental responsibility.

Sustainable Energy and Building Technology

Humber’s Sustainable Energy and Building Technology (SEBT) diploma program helps you develop the skills needed for a career in the growing green economy. Students gain skills to provide integrated solutions from knowledge of energy efficiency, green building practices and renewable energy sources.
The curriculum is designed with industry collaboration, ensuring the program is current and relevant. Courses focus on electric circuits, renewable energy technologies, building systems, thermodynamics and energy use, energy auditing, energy performance modelling software, sustainable design and resource management, project management, economic analysis, energy systems integration, and building modelling software (AutoCAD and Revit).
