The Campus Environment Committee will monitor campus demographics and campus/community climate information; make recommendations to the President & Diversity Director; maintain awareness of legislation affecting Higher Education specifically as it relates to diverse/underrepresented populations; assist with/monitor the progress of the Comprehensive Diversity Plan Goals and Initiatives and implement any additional initiatives or goals set by the President. The Diversity Council is responsible for advising the president as to the needs of minority students and faculty, especially as it relates to retention. It is further the responsibility of this committee to recommend and assist with recruitment strategies, services, and climate enhancements that will promote equal opportunity and affirmative action.
