We've conducted two assessments to explore attitudes and behaviors of the students, staff, and faculty on our campus by reviewing data collected in an anonymous survey. The participants were engaged via their hope.edu email addresses to participate and there was not any type of treatments, interventions, or deception in this survey and it was 100% voluntary. The goal is to help us better understand: What drives individual behavior change in the area of sustainability for the Hope College community? and encourage sustainable behaviors.
The first assessment was in the summer of 2018 and was sent to students, faculty, and staff. The second assessment was in the fall of 2019 and was sent to a randomly selected group of 800 students (200 freshmen, 200 sophomores, 200 juniors, and 200 seniors).

The assessments were only open to the campus community and results were not shared publicly. We utilized the software "Qualtrics" through our partnership with the Hope College Frost Research Center.

The participants were engaged via their hope.edu email addresses to participate and there was not any type of treatments, interventions, or deception in this survey and it was 100% voluntary. The assessment was administered through the Frost Research Center.
A brief summary of results from the cultural assessment:
The first assessment was in the summer of 2018 and was sent to students, faculty, and staff. We had 142 staff/faculty and 338 students complete the survey.
The second assessment was in the fall of 2019 and was sent to a randomly selected group of 800 students (200 freshmen, 200 sophomores, 200 juniors, and 200 seniors). 226 Students filled out the survey
