The Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts is certified LEED Silver for BD&C. As part of that certification we adopted green cleaning protocols. The building was also built using recycled and locally sourced materials. Any required maintenance will use the same materials. The building is also privately metered and monitored for electric, water and steam usage.

The building is audited at least annually for compliance with green cleaning procedures. Hope College also has a long-standing tradition of upkeep of buildings to the same standard as which they were built, as can be evidenced by the condition of our historic structures.
