A brief summary of papers, guides, presentations, and other resources the institution has developed to share their sustainability experience with other institutions:
Hope College participated in the "Environmental Dashboard" implementation project with multiple Great Lakes College Association (GLCA) Colleges to foster collaboration across campuses. This includes collaborative initiatives that seek to educate populations--on college campuses, in public school systems, and in local communities--about how changing practices can result in a more vibrant and sustained future for humanity. http://buildingdashboard.net/hope/#/hope article: http://www.hope.edu/news/2015/02/11/glca-grant-partners-five-campuses-in-using-environmental-dashboard.html The group put together a shared presentation in 2015. In the Fall of 2016 Hope College had a third party waste auditor on campus and they are currently working on an article to showcase practices for recycling and composting around our campus. In April 2017 Hope College will host a monthly meeting for the West Michigan Sustainable Business Forum at the A. Paul Schaap Science Center. Attendees will include representatives from businesses, higher education, and community members from around the west Michigan area.
