A brief description of the program:
"Outdoor Symposium", organized by Field Science Center for Northern Biosphere, is an annual program, where students interested in the forestry study get together to talk and walk in the large forest in Hokkaido. The program is intended to introduce participants to academic forestry research by looking at, listening and touching the forest firsthand.
Participants are required to take garbage home. They collect minimum amount of sample for the purpose of learning how research should be conducted in a manner to preserve the ecosystem of forestry.
