A brief description of the policies and/or guidelines to improve outdoor air quality and minimize air pollutant emissions from mobile sources:
All Buildings & Grounds Department employees receive a training class and training book related to the safe and efficient operation of institutional vehicles. Training includes efficient vehicle operating procedures, fuel conservation practices, and restrictions on idling. Routine instructional feedback on vehicle operation and use is provided at regular meetings. Additionally, facilities conducts monthly particulate matter testing of the on-site emergency generators.

HWS has no stationary emission sources that are regulated, nor do they have any sources coming under environmental permitting for campus operations. HWS facilities staff confirmed that no significant regulated stationary emission sources exist.
