HCC has a Chief Diversity Officer which oversees the Office of Equity and Diversity. This office manages equity at HCC including enforcing standards and laws that promote an equitable and safe institution for all. This office also manages compliance with Title IX and well as the diversity and inclusion programs across the college.

All full-time employees are mandated to take a variety of diversity trainings including Preventing Employee Discrimination, Title IX employee training, and Welcoming Diversity. Additionally, there are a wide variety of councils, student initiatives, scholarship programs, conferences, and other activities focused on diversity.
