A brief description of the institution’s green infrastructure and LID practices:

HCT has implemented the rainwater management system to improve the campus health & safety environment and to increase sustainability practices.
The rainwater harvesting on the HCT Al Ain Women's campus was completed in 2019. The project was designed to collect all the flooded water from the campus and supplied to different soak pits to improve the groundwater table of the region. The project was very successful in order to utilize the rainwater and avoiding flash floods occurring on the campus. The supporting documents are attached
A new project proposal was made on HCT Fujairah Women's campus to reuse the rainwater for irrigation purposes. The project budget was approved, and a new RFP was created. The project is in the tendering stage. The supporting documents are attached.

HCT management promotes rainwater management policies for all HCT campuses. The campus Facility Officers are raising the new budget requests for the rainwater management system for individual campuses.
As an initiative of the rainwater management project, Al Ain women's college is already completed a rainwater harvesting project, and a new project will implement by the first quarter of 2023 in Fujairah women's college. The budget for the Rainwater harvesting system in Fujairah women's college is already approved, and the project is in tendering stage.
