As part of the HCT Innovation Month that took place in Feb 2022 at one of our campuses, DBW campus, a webinar with the topic "Towards Zero Food Waste" has been initiated. The aim of this webinar is to educate the students/employees of HCT on the ways to reduce food waste including taking inventory of food stock available and creating a meal plan, storage, buying, consuming, and composting. Around 148 students and employees attended the webinar.

HCT is organizing the The 2nd Advancing Food Security Online Conference featuring 13 speakers from UAE, the UK & the USA, exploring innovative food security solutions in the UAE and globally.
The conference will identify and introduce emerging strategies and technologies that can facilitate long-term food security solutions and explore the economic, social, biophysical, technological, and institutional drivers of the current and future world food security.
Through this conference, HCT aims to contribute to world food security development by investing in applied education and research, as well as to consider offering programs, concentrations, or certifications that support food security in the UAE and the world.
