Data source(s) and notes about the submission:

HEC Montréal is an independent business school, but is located on the University of Montréal campus, and is affiliated to Université de Montréal and École Polytechnique de Montréal. Thereof, there is only one academic division at HEC Montréal.
Student FTE is calculated by the Government of Québec Minister of Education. Methodology and details are available on their site at : http://www.education.gouv.qc.ca/fileadmin/site_web/documents/loisir-sport/Regime-budg2021_Universites.pdf For this figure, the total student headcount represents the total number of students who were enrolled for the 2020 winter semester to match the latest FTE calculation available (2019-20).
Employee FTE is based on the total of all full-time employees and 1/3 of the part-time employees.
There is a student accommodation on site (Darlington site ) for 40 people only.
The 12 reported departments are based on the 11-research department of the school plus the "École des dirigeants", the department in charge of continuous education. "École des dirigeants" does not offer courses or programs that lead to a degree; depending on the section, the "École des dirigeants" is sometimes included, sometime excluded, from reporting, due to its unique nature.
Since March 2020, almost all courses are given online due to Covid-19, but the school buildings remain open and functional. Thus, students are not considered to be enrolled in distance education.
