A brief description of the single-use disposable plastics that have been banned or eliminated:
No more single-use plastic bags, plastic straws or plastic utensil are available in the HEC Montréal shops and cafeteria. All single-use plastics have been replaced by reusable or compostable equivalent.
Due to Covid-19, employees, students and visitors are required to wear a disposable mask when entering the school. Masks being a single-use disposable plastic, bins were installed to throw used masks and send them to a specialized recycler that can turn them into new plastic.
