A brief description of the institution’s program to support employee volunteering:
HEC Montréal is encouraging and supporting its employee who share their expertise and knowledge with external partners, through participation in boards, business volunteering, participation in reflection groups, etc.
Nevertheless, no policies or formal programs are in place - employees who volunteer during regular hours must agree on the conditions from its manager.
Volunteer employees are also at the core of the School annual United Way fundraising campaign, with each department encouraged providing support for fundraising activities.

Data are based on a survey sent to all students from all programs in autumn 2020.
Out of 278 answers received regarding student engagement, 140 students (50.4%) confirmed they have done between 5 and 1400 hours of community services during the period of 12 months prior to the survey. The average number of annual community service hours declared by the student was 48.6 hours.
A large number of students are also engaged in student association and comity. In 2019-2020, 828 students were part of one of them.
