A brief description of any policies and programs to minimize the cost of attendance for low-income students:
Students admitted to HEC Montréal benefit from some of the lowest tuition cost of all business school. HEC is providing a wide range of services, through the SAE office, to support local and international students to pay their tuition, obtain scholarship, find part time job, find a descent priced apartment etc. SAE also keep special provision to support students whose financial situation are precarious and can offer last resort help to prevent students from dropping-out for financial reason.

Staff of the SAE are supported to provide service to low-income background students and provide discretionary support.

A brief description of the institution's scholarships for low-income students:
HEC Montréal is one of the most generous university in Québec when comes the time to give scholarship to its student. 3 types of scholarship are given ; performance scholarship (to the best students), specialized scholarship (for students who fill an application), and support scholarship (for students with difficult situation). Low income student who are not awarded the two first type can apply for a support scholarship.

A brief description of the institution’s targeted outreach to recruit students from low-income backgrounds:
One of HEC's main marketing argument is that it offers an internationally recognized quality education at a fraction of the cost. For example, the cost of the MBA program is less than $8000 for Québec's resident, one of the lowest cost in the world.

A brief description of the institution’s other policies or programs to make the institution accessible and affordable to low-income students:
HEC Montréal's SAE offer support to its student to apply to the Québec's Student Loan and Scholarship provincial programs. The government of Québec is responsible to evaluate every request and evaluate the amount of scholarship or low interest loan a student can request.

Yes

A brief description of the institution’s scholarships provided specifically for part-time students:
Part-time students have a limited access to certain scholarship, depending on the program they subscribe too. Admittance scholarship, for example, are awarded to part time students since they are less likely to have regular income during their studies. It is possible for part time students to apply on specialized scholarship.

A brief description of the institution’s on-site child care facility, partnership with a local facility, and/or subsidies or financial support to help meet the child care needs of students:
Students and staff have access to HEC Montréal's 2 CPE (Centre de la petite enfance) daycares. Admissions are based on a public waiting list, but staffs and students have priority over non-HEC related kids.

From time to time, special scholarship are created for special students, such as Syrian refugees.
