HEC Montréal is an independant business school, but is located on the University of Montréal campus, and is affiliated to Université de Montréal and École Polytechnique de Montréal. Thereof, there is only one academic division at HEC Montréal.

Employee FTE are based on the total of all full time employee and 1/3 of the part time employee.
There is a student accomodation on site (Darlington site ) for 40 people only.
The 12 reported departments are based on the 11 research department of the school plus the École des dirigeants, the department in charge of continous education. Depending on the section, the École des dirigeants is sometime included, sometime excluded, from reporting, due to its unique nature.
