A brief summary of papers, guides, presentations, and other resources the institution has developed to share their sustainability experience with other institutions:

HPU's sustainability coordinator has been working with the University of Hawai`i faculty to implement the Kukui Cup residence hall energy competition, developed at the University of Hawai`i and introduced in the fall of 2011. HPU and UH will both be initiating this residence hall energy competition in the fall of 2012, and will continue to collaborate on the results and findings from the competition, as well as how to expand the competition to other schools and organizations in Hawai`i. HPU's sustainability coordinator and Philip Johnson of the University of Hawai`i have worked together to submit an abstract to present the Kukui Cup project at the 2012 AASHE Conference.

A brief summary of additional ways the institution collaborates with other campuses to advance sustainability :

A sustainable campus coalition was developed among universities in Hawai`i to promote a sharing of ideas between universities, and to provide individuals with the resources to further sustainability initiatives on their respective campuses. The first meeting of this coalition was arranged on December 4th, 2010 at the BYU Hawai`i campus. Sustainability representatives from HPU, UH, Chaminade University, BYU-H, Blue Planet Foundation, Hawai’i Clean Energy Initiative (HCEI) and Kokua Hawai`i Foundation were in attendance. The second meeting was held on HPU's Hawai`i Loa Campus in the Spring of 2011.
