Does the institution make cultural competence trainings and activities available to all students?:
A brief description of the cultural competence trainings and activities:
Each year, HPU holds an intercultural day on Fort Street and HPU students and employees are encouraged to attend. Tables are set up to represent cultures from all over the world, and HPU students, staff, and faculty man the tables to educate others on their culture. HPU also conducts a number of cultural education presentations throughout the year entitled Native Hawaiian Speaker Series, in which HPU employees and students are encouraged to attend. These presentations educate HPU staff, faculty, and students about Hawaiian history, art, and culture.
