A brief description of the composting or mulching program:

All green waste created from the maintenance crew at the Hawai`i Loa campus is composted on site in large piles. Another location for composting green waste is in the organic garden, in the middle of a banana tree patch. This banana patch was designed to create a compost area in the middle of the garden.
