Name or title of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:
In the spring of 2024, the Commitee for Environmental Responsibility's Waste Working group organized the painting of an educational mural in the Dining Center about Haverford's Anaerobic Biodigester, Munchy Crunchy. Four community members submitted designs for the mural, and the commitee voted on the final design. The student artist along with members of the waste working group skeched the mural into a paint by number design and then invited community members to help paint. The mural visually and textually explains how the biodigester processes food and also gives instructions on what food should be left on people's plates for the biodigester. When finished in September 2024, this mural will help increase the biodigester's intake and decrease food waste from Haverford's dining center.
