The Committee for Environmental Responsibility organizes a residence-hall based energy conservation program through which students learn about sustainable energy consumption. Dorms compete for the largest decrease in energy consumption over a two week period which is measured by Haverford's Building Dashboard.

2nd program
A brief description of the student educators program (2nd program):
Haverfarm student educators lead and help lead programs at the Haverfarm throughout the year and summer. These include the haverfarm physical education course. Each semester, 25 students participate in this crash course on organic farming to get a physical education credit. Student farmers teach participants the basics of sustainable agriculture in the three hour per week class. Students learn the basics of plant identification, greenhouse seeding, composting, planting, harvesting, and Integrated Pest Management. Other programs include the beekeeping club, and various workshops and events.

The HCA (Haverford College Apartments) Garden is a student-run garden maintained by a club and supported by Haverfarm staff. The garden recently got a makeover with new beds, signs, and picnic tables, making it a key gathering space in the apartments.
