A brief description of the sustainable operations and maintenance policy/program and/or O+M rating system(s) used:

Energy Management - The College uses Automated Logic WebCTRL, a web-based control and energy management system to manage all of its buildings across campus. This system enables the buildings to be managed smarter, while using less energy and improving comfort. In addition to the building equipment & system monitoring, sequences of operations, schedules, setpoints & alarms, the WebCTRL platform also collects & houses electric sub-meters data, operates an automated campus wide demand (kW) response curtailment system, demand controlled ventilation systems, etc. The data from thousands of control points are stored and used to generate reports & trend logs enabling finer energy management and operational intelligence. To access the web site, College VPN credentials are needed. These may be obtained visiting the following link https://iitskb.sites.haverford.edu/knowledge-base/virtual-private-network-vpn/ and completing the form at the blue "request an account" link. Once VPN credentials are received please type the following IP address into your web browser's address bar; 165.82.86.200 At the login page please use "aashestars" for the login name and "Haverfordems" for the password.
Integrated Pest Management Program (grounds) - The College's integrated pest management (IPM) program has enabled the reduced dependency on and the amount of chemicals regulated by EPA. IPM is a comprehensive program for pest control which combines multiple management strategies; including biological, cultural, use of indigenous plants, and chemicals with lower toxicity to humans. Please see further details about the grounds IPM and related sustainable programs at the following web link https://www.haverford.edu/grounds-maintenance
Green Cleaning - The following link provides a thumbnail description of the College's Green Cleaning practices https://www.haverford.edu/sustainability/sustainable-campus-operations#housekeeping
Integrated Pest Management Program (buildings) - The College's building pest management vendor works with the College to reduce the use of chemicals and instead as a first choice, rely on non chemical means to control and prevent infestation, such as managing climate, food sources and building entry points. Please see the attached summary of our building IPM approach.
