Name or title of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
Philabundance Impact Challenge
A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:
The Haverford Innovations Program (HIP) partnered with Philabundance, a local food bank (and the largest in Philadelphia), to present the challenge to the students to figure out how the food bank could develop a robust food recovery program. Students worked in groups to come up with a range of plans and proposals, which they pitched to Philabundance at the end of the two day workshop. Students left with greater innovation skills and Philabundance left with a collection of original and creative ideas.
