Haverford through the VP and Chief Sustainability Officer, has provided direct, institutional advocacy for renewable energy actions and ordinances in both Lower Merion Township and Haverford Township within which the campus resides.

Haverford's president was a signatory in support of passing of the Kigali Amendment re HFCs in the US Senate. HFCs are GHGs that are one the most powerful contributors to climate change.
